Hand-thrown on the potter's wheel from heavy basalt-flecked stoneware, these little cups have a satisfying dimple in which to rest your thumb.
 
Incredibly comfortable to hold, they are designed specifically to fit in your hand. Glazed with a slightly thinned out version of my opaque oatmeal glaze, allowing the heavily speckled clay to bleed into the white surface. 
 
The bottom centimetre of the cup is left raw, and then sanded smooth when fired; the textural transition feeling satisfying to the touch. 
 
These cups are perfect size for a flat white or a little cup of tea, these cups are made by hand by me in my studio in East Bristol. Inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design principles, I aim for a simple, clean, pared back beauty in the work I create.
